Frequently Asked Questions
Working with Max Roux – Photographer & Visual Storyteller
What kind of photography do you offer?
I focus on storytelling across lifestyle, nature, events, and brand photography. My work is often grounded in a sense of place — whether I’m shooting a retreat in the bush, a quiet portrait at home, or a live performance. If the project has heart, I’m usually in.
Where are you based, and do you travel?
I live in Eltham, VIC — in the leafy northeast of Melbourne — and regularly travel throughout greater Melbourne and regional Victoria. I’m open to interstate jobs too, depending on scope and availability.
Can I book you for a short shoot?
Absolutely. I offer hourly, half-day, and full-day rates. Whether it’s a quick portrait, brand content, or a few hours at a retreat, I can shape the time around your needs.
How do I receive the final images?
You’ll receive a curated online gallery with high-res images, ready to download, share, or print. If you need versions optimised for web or socials, I’ve got you covered.
Do you offer video?
Yes — I shoot short, story-led videos for events, brands, and creative businesses. Think reels, mood pieces, or documentary-style promo edits. Just let me know what you're after.
Can I hire you just for editing or colour grading?
Yes. If you’ve already captured your own content and need it brought to life visually, I offer standalone editing and colour grading for both photography and video.
What are your rates?
My rates depend on the project scope, but as a guide:
Photography starts at $250 per hour
Video work is quoted based on the brief
I’ll always provide a clear, customised quote.
Do you offer collaborations or trade?
If a project aligns with my values or curiosity, I’m open to collaborations, especially with people doing soulful, community-focused, or regenerative work. Let’s talk.
How far in advance should I book?
For larger projects or travel jobs, 2–4 weeks is ideal. But if you’ve got something sooner, feel free to reach out — I can often shuffle things around.
Still unsure? I’d love to hear what you’re dreaming up.
