MAX ROUX

I'm a photographer, ARIA-nominated videographer, and licensed drone operator based in Naarm/Melbourne, currently living and working on Wurundjeri Country in Eltham.

My work lives at the intersection of story, place, and the quiet moments in between. Through photography and film, I aim to capture the emotional essence of a moment. translating feeling and purpose into powerful, honest visuals.

I first picked up a camera in the still hours of the night. Struggling with sleep, a few friends and I would head out into the bush, drawn by the silence, the stars, and a desire to feel more connected. Those late nights spent under wide skies, experimenting with long exposures and chasing stillness, taught me how to see — and how to listen. That early practice still shapes how I approach every project today.

Guided by a deep connection to music, nature, and community, I collaborate with purpose-led artists, organisations and brands to tell meaningful stories. My clients are often those working toward a more creative, sustainable, and connected future — people and projects grounded in care.

Whether I'm documenting a retreat, crafting a film for a regenerative business, or capturing the atmosphere of a live performance, I bring curiosity, sensitivity, and a soulful eye to the work.

WHAT I OFFER

I work with purpose-driven individuals, brands, and organisations to craft visual stories that are meaningful, grounded, and creatively bold.

Sustainable Brand Storytelling
Visual content that speaks to your values. I collaborate with ethical businesses, nature-based initiatives, and regenerative projects to produce compelling imagery that reflects your mission, from short-form video and brand films to behind-the-scenes stories and campaigns.

Vision-Driven Projects
For artists, musicians, and changemakers seeking something deeper. I help bring creative ideas to life through cinematic concept development and production — whether it's a music video, an experimental piece, or a personal narrative that needs space to breathe.

Licensed Drone Cinematography
As a CASA-certified drone operator, I capture aerial visuals that complement grounded storytelling. My drone work supports environmental, creative, and land-based projects — from eco-tourism and retreats to natural installations and landscape-focused storytelling.

If you're working on something with heart, purpose, and vision — let’s connect.
